Visiting the Grand Bee Chapel

The Night Stinger watched women struggle in man's world from a little girl. She watched her mother, grandmother, and other women on both sides of her family. As Night Stinger grew, she felt a struggle too. That made her feel the need to fight and to be strong. Night Stinger learned something from the women in her family. They were strong and were fighters. They never gave up, and they did not quit. The Night Stinger tried everything she could in life to avoid a hard life. It seemed that she had to face a lot of struggles until she remembered what she was taught by one of her grandmothers. Night Stinger was taught to pray and meditate. She learned that maybe that was the reason why her grandmother stayed healthy, strong, prosperous, and she lived to get so old. Night Stinger strayed away from religion, but she went back to it when she reached the age of 20. Then she grew stronger and stronger.

The Night Stinger would visit the “Grand Bee Chapel” to meditate, study, pray, and practice on her boxing. Boxing was a sport that the Night Stinger loved. She learned discipline at the chapel and how to control her anger. Learning discipline helped Night Stinger to be a stronger fighter than most of her opponents. The Grand Bee Chapel is a place that Night Stinger would visit during the day when she wanted to hide away in the shadows. Spending time at the chapel is how Night Stinger escaped to have time for herself. Sometimes she taught others how to fight, and at night, she was like a little savior fighting crime.

An Introduction

The Night Stinger is a character dedicated to Laila Ali who floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. I was inspired to create this character by watching Laila box.

My biggest inspiration is Jesus Christ. Jesus tells us that through God all things are possible (Mark 10:27). I believe in God the Father and Christ the Son and the Holy Ghost. The Bible tells us that we can do all things through Christ (Philippians 4:13). It's wonderful to believe in God. It is because of him that I have the talent to think, write, and create. Now, because I have the talent, that does not mean that I always use it in the right way. It is important to always ask God for guidance. He tells me to think positive.

As I watched my favorite boxing champion, I saw something good. Sometimes her fights looked bloody and mean, but boxing is only a sport. One day I saw a good person outside of the ring working with children on television. I believe that there is more to her than meets the eye. I see the Night Stinger who is a character that is a good samaritan and more.
