Shield-in-Robe

When the Night Stinger went back to the chapel, her teacher was waiting for her. He knew where she had been and what she had done. His name was Mr. Moe Marty Green. Mr. Moe argued at Night Stinger for fighting and disobeying him. He was growing old, and he did not feel like being bothered with troubles. Mr. Moe feared that Tony Brown would send his gang to the chapel for revenge, once he found out who the Night Stinger truly was. Night Stinger just sat down and listened looking out one of the chapel windows as if she did not care what Mr. Moe was saying.

Mr. Moe opened up a small chest. In it, he had 3 scrolls, and one of them was a special cloth that he made into a robe with a bullet proof shield. It also glowed in the dark. Mr. Moe gave it to Night Stinger to wear. When she tried it on, he made Night Stinger stand in a dark room in front of a mirror. She saw a dim light coming from the center of her chest shaped in the form of a shield in front of her. It was like a force field. Night Stinger found it pretty amusing and amazing.

“If you must fight, you need to wear this robe on the streets at night all of the time”, said Mr. Moe.

The Night Stinger asked, “Can it be washed”.

“To wash it, steam clean it,” answered Mr. Moe.

The Night Stinger had a whole lot to learn, and Mr. Moe was letting her learn some things on her own. He felt that telling her would do no good.

dHook Note:

Mr. Moe made the shield remembering a verse from the Book of Psalms. (Psalms 91:4) He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. (5) Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;……………………………..

Mr. Moe knew that Night Stinger was of the night and was not afraid. He knew that she could handle the things going on in the streets. Mr. Moe knew that she was a great female boxer, and he also knew that there was something much stronger that she would have to face one day.
